ELIXIR is a ritual music performance consisting of violin improv and DJing, layering abstract, ambient, organic and club elements with nostalgic hooks from the collective memory palace into a narrative storyline to activate an inner cathartic and transformational journey. ELIXIR is driven by embracing universal experience, healing the trauma of separation and celebrating in-between-ness.
S X M B R A is a neurodivergent artist and researcher, born in Colombia and adopted to the Netherlands. His contrastive, emotional style stretches from audio collages, DJ mixes, electronic productions and violin improv that blend drama, euphoria, organic and industrial sounds and afro-latin rhythms. Recurrent themes in his work are subconscious fears and desires, self transcendence and embodying alternative futures.
